Figuring out what to include in a summer party spread just got easier. This post is all about providing you with ideas for what to serve next time you have guests over on a warm summer’s day.

Great spreads are simple to put together, which is one of the reasons we love them so much. Summer party spreads give you everything you want, including that summer freshness that you only feel when the weather gets warm and the world feels friendlier.

So, what should you be serving?

Fruit Skewers

Topping the list of options is, of course, fruit skewers. These have been popular for a long time, but are particularly in vogue at the moment as a healthy dessert

These usually start with pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, mango and other summer fruits. The only work involved is the creation of the skewers themselves and the coconut milk dip. You want to use coconut milk because it is thick and able to stick to the fruit. The fat it contains naturally complements the fruit, making it more filling and delicious.

Goat Cheese Rollups

Goat cheese rollups are another popular summer party option. These are ideal for anyone who loves herby flavors.

To make these, you’ll need some zucchini strips. The idea is to cut off a small chunk of cheese, roll it up inside a zucchini wafer, and then grill it for a couple of minutes on each side until slightly melted. Most chefs mix the cheese with flavoring components like dill, lemon zest and chives before putting it on the BBQ. These components deepen the flavor and make the snack even more moreish.

Grilled Lobster

Another option is to look for cheap live lobster for sale in your area and cook it on the grill or BBQ. This dish is perfect by itself, or in combination with other foods.

Grilled lobster goes well with corn on the cob and potatoes. However, you can also put it into risottos and salads, as long as the other ingredients are of a similar quality.

Peach Bruscetta

Peach bruschetta is another must-try dish for the summer. Combining this with burrata cheese makes for a delicious snack you’ll want to eat for the whole season.

For this dish, you’ll want to grill some peach halves over a medium heat for a few minutes until they char. Then, you’ll want to spread the spliced peaches and burrata on toasted baguette slices, making sure you add your balsamic glaze and olive oil. The result should be a slightly sweet and slightly tangy uplifting snack that makes you feel extra healthy.

Watermelon Salad

Finally, we’d suggest putting together a watermelon salad for a summer spread. Watermelon is a quintessential summer ingredient and provides refreshment with every bite.

The best watermelon salads add things like lime juice, a small quantity of red onion, fresh mint, jalapeno, and feta cheese. All you need to do is combine all these ingredients and gently toss them together for the perfect outcome. Serve with tortilla chips if you want for more bulk.
