I always appreciate a simple, delicious meal that every member of the family can sit and enjoy. Crockpot Chicken and Noodles is one of those meals that seems to please the entire family. As a parent with picky kids, I appreciate that I won’t deal with any upturned noses when I put this in front of the kids.
There are a lot of chicken and noodles recipes out there but this one is convenient and delicious. This version is easy to make; it uses the crock-pot (yes!) and calls for a lot of butter. However, I’ve used less than an entire stick and it’s still phenomenal. Serve some slow cooker veggies or mashed potatoes on the side for the perfect family dinner.
Ingredients in Crockpot Chicken and Noodles:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I use fresh, not frozen)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 stick of butter
2 15 oz cans chicken broth (I added a few extra ounces of
chicken broth)
24 oz. frozen egg noodles (I use Reames)
Directions for Crockpot Chicken and Noodles:
Cook chicken, soup, butter and chicken broth in crock-pot on low for 4-6 hours.
Remove chicken from crock-pot and shred.
Put chicken back in the butter, soup and chicken broth mixture; add noodles to the crock-pot and cook on low for 2 hours.
Stir a few times while it’s cooking.
I like that this meal tastes delicious warmed up for a few days after first serving it. This Crockpot chicken and noodles recipe is perfect for taking leftovers to work or packing in kids’ lunches. Busy during the week with work and school activities? Take a break from fast food and enjoy this wonderful version of Crockpot chicken and noodles!
