If you like cream cheese, you MUST try this simple chicken and cream cheese recipe I found on Challengedairy.com. That recipe calls for red peppers though and I omit those.
For years, I used cream cheese only on bagels until someone clued me in on what a great addition it makes to soooo many recipes, from adding it to crock pot chicken tacos to scooping some in while you are scrambling eggs! It makes every meal SO creamy and delicious! Check out this super easy and amazing chicken and cream cheese recipe you will LOVE!
Chicken and cream cheese ingredients:
6-8 chicken tenderloins (about 1 1/2 lbs)
4 oz (about 1/2 package) softened cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 heaping teaspoons of Panko style unseasoned breadcrumbs
A dash of oregano
Chicken and cream cheese directions:
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Mix together the softened cream cheese, garlic salt, and oregano. Wash and pat dry the chicken, then place it on lightly sprayed aluminum foil in a baking sheet. Top each piece of chicken with equal parts of the cream cheese mixture. Top with about 1/2 Tablespoon of the bread crumbs.
Bake the chicken for about 15 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Serve the chicken and cream cheese with some vegetables or any other side you prefer. This chicken literally melts in your mouth! I LOVE it and it’s a huge hit each and every time I make it. Even thought it doesn’t have noodles like this must-try chicken tetrazzini recipe, it’s still really creamy and hits the spot. Not to mention — the recipe is about as simple as they come. It’s always nice to have really easy recipes to make on those busy weeknights you don’t manage to get food thrown in the crock pot. Hope you enjoy!
