Katie is the creator of Mumbling Mommy. She started the blog as an outlet to write about her daughters and stepchildren. As more readers began to interact with the posts, Katie decided the site should be open to Moms from all backgrounds and life situations who want to share their experiences with the online community. Katie serves as the blog administrator and editor, coordinating posts and maintaining the blog’s social media presence. She is thankful to be learning from all of the wonderful Moms who have stepped up and made the decision to talk about their family life on Mumbling Mommy.Katie is a writer, editor and researcher with background in the newspaper and publishing industries. She works from her home office on the sunny east coast of Florida and likes to run, read and go to fitness classes in her limited spare time. Katie is working on a memoir that covers the period of time when she was a pregnant single mom. She also owns a freelance writing business that specializes in online content.
Katie’s four kids are Ferris, Emilia, London and Erinn. She also has a handsome husband named Brant and enjoys dog sitting for her in-laws.
When Rachael isn’t busy with her family, you’ll find her reading Charlotte Bronte or James Herriot books, gardening, cooking, and singing at church. She and her family live in the St. Louis area with their xenophobic cat, Hildegard.
Heather C is a married, mom of three, including big sis Lily and identical twins Natalie and Sophia. She has been guest blogging for Mumbling Mommy since February of 2012. After nearly a decade in banking, she now spends her days in her Midwest home as zookeeper/work-at-home-mom.Heather C runs the mommy blog, Our Magical Chaos and takes on freelance writing doing mostly blog work for business and parenting websites. She’s also a runner with a goal of running her first half-marathon, a reader that rarely gets past the first page anymore, a novice crafter/crocheter and hosts a lot of pajama dance parties in her kitchen. In her spare time, she’s the social media coordinator for a NICU parent support group at her local hospital.
Lori is mom to Max and Halle and the wife to John. She is enjoying the life of a stay-at-home-mom to two small children and stays busy freelance writing too.Prior to staying home, Lori worked for an insurance company in the Wellness Department. She encouraged healthier lifestyle through telephonic health coaching, health-related programs and health screenings. When she gets time to herself, she likes to read, shop and have dinner with friends. Her big goal this year is to make exercise part of her life again. She and her family reside in Noblesville, a suburb of Indianapolis.
She is the designer and owner of Etsy shop Pretty Colleen and is working on launching an eBay store to sell her handmade items. She is an avid football fan, spending her fall weekends cheering on the Buckeyes, Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Maura plans to share her journey as a new mom, and anything else that pops up along the way.
Alyssa and her family love to travel, be outdoors skiing, on the lake in the summer, camping, and dancing!

Tricia is a married, stay-at-home mom to two children. During her second pregnancy, she was diagnosed with stage III melanoma. After going through a very exhausting few months of pregnancy, surgery and a birth, she is happy to report that everyone in her family is doing well. Tricia is still going through treatment.Tricia looks forward to writing about challenges that we all face as moms and also some additional challenges that have arisen because of her battle with cancer.
Heather Novak is a writer, public speaker and actress from Northwest Indiana. She is mom to two beautiful little girls, Libby and Portia. She hopes to blog honestly about her struggles as a parent to help other parents realize the reality and joy of family life.You can also find blogs and vlogs from Heather on her personal blog, Live Your Love Out Loud, and on the Moms’ network Mothers & More. Amy lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and 2 daughters, Olivia and Alexandria (Alex). She also has 2 kitty cats, Sammy and Thundercleese.Along with being a stay-at-home mum, she also works part time and is currently enrolled in college studying to become a radiologist. She enjoys summertime, running, cooking, and giving her daughters manicures.
Lin is married to her husband, Tarek. And is a mom to Malek, a 6 month old boy. She is currently living as an American expat in Dubai and planning to go back to work soon.Lin has experience in the retail fashion industry and is currently working for a private oilfield services company. She loves anything fashion, fitness classes, food, family time, and girls nights out.
Ginny is a wife and very cool mom to four kiddos. She is a stay at home mom who home schools. She loves to spend lots of time with her hubby and kids taking walks and cooking.In her spare time she enjoys running, writing and photography. She hopes to someday run a marathon and also improve her photography skills enough to join the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep foundation.
Sally has been married to her high school boyfriend, Bruce, for over 40 years (and yes, he’s still as ‘hot’ as when he was a lifeguard during the high school summers). She is the mom to three amazing grown children who have jobs, homes, cars and families of their own. Sally is also a grandma to six perfect grandchildren. For over a decade, she earned her paycheck working at a Department of Corrections Juvenile Boot Camp housing 95 or more male teenage troublemaker (God bless ’em). She is now retired and working on a memoir about the experience.Sally says that the one thing she has learned in raising her own children and through being a surrogate parent to the children where she works is that kindess, forgiveness and encouragement are medicine to a child’s soul. She has always enjoyed writing but this is her first real attempt at blogging.
Cara lives in Michigan with her husband and daughter. Born in Ohio, and lived through out the US, including 3 years in China, Cara is loving the new 10 acre farm they just bought.She is the owner and Photographer of Life’s Fotos Portraiture Design, where she specializes in photographing women, giving them self confidence & swag!
