For 10 years, the Edublog Awards have recognized the best in educational information online in a variety of categories. This is the first year that I have taken the time to nominate any blogs but I have certainly appreciated online education writing for many years — particularly the past three years as I’ve had children school age. I’m not an educator, but when I was an education reporter right out of college I became fascinated with educational policy from state to state, district to district, and with the stories related to them.
Now in my role as the Communications and Media Advisor for National School Choice Week, I find that I’m reading more than ever about education reform across the country. I decided I’d take the time to put in my two cents for the Edublog Awards this year… so here goes!Best Individual Blog: Education Week — Education Futures: Emerging Trends and Technologies in K-12 (I’ve been a fan of Matthew Lynch for awhile now and am thrilled that he now has a presence on Education Week)
