Lori Lori is a work-at-home mom of three living in Noblesville, Indiana.

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and we are all things leprechaun and four leaf clover around our house! My kids have been having a great time making Leprechaun traps with golden coins, green paper, pennies, Skittles and more to entice a leprechaun into their trap. We’ll see if it works this year and we finally catch one. 😉 We get into all holidays, big and small, in our house! The kids are only this age once right?

Anyway, it’s time to take a break from searching for spring cleaning tips and make these Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats! They are a festive and delicious treat to make this time of year to really get you in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit! Bonus: they only require 4 ingredients!

Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats Ingredients

1/2 cup of unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 (11.5 oz) box of Lucky Charms cereal

1 (16 oz) bag of marshmallows (I use mini marshmallows)

These Lucky Charms Marshmallow treats are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!

Spray one 9×13 inch pan, or two 8×8 inch pans with cooking spray.

Melt stick of butter over low heat in a pot.

Once the butter is melted, stir in the salt and marshmallows.

Continue to stir constantly until the marshmallows are melted.

Once it’s all meted and mixed together, remove the pan from the heat and gently pour in the cereal. Stir with care so you don’t break the cereal.

Pour the mixture into the sprayed pan(s) and very gently press the mixture in. I keep reiterating to be gentle because if you press to hard, you’ll have hard treats!

Cool completely, then cut the Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats into squares. I originally found this recipe on showmetheyummy.com.
