The battle of what to eat for dinner. Why is that a weekly occurrence in my home? Here’s a easy, quick, and tasty recipe to help you out. This creamed chicken and biscuits recipe is one of my all-time favorites! It takes me back to my childhood days in my grandparents’ house. This was one of my grandma’s signature meals, and it is delicious! I am so glad she wrote the recipe for me on a note card before she passed away, so not only do I have the recipe, I have it in her handwriting too. Try it and see what you think!

Creamed Chicken and Biscuits

Ingredients:

1 – 1 1/2 lbs. chicken breast
2 cans chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 cup white flour

For the biscuits, you can make Bisquick or use pre-made refrigerated or freezer biscuits. Any types of biscuits work; it’s your preference!

Directions:
To cook the creamed chicken, you start by boiling the chicken on the stove. Cook the chicken until the meat is white. Cool and break the chicken into pieces. Put the shredded chicken back on the stove with the two cans of chicken broth and bring to a boil.

Meanwhile, in another pot, mix the milk and flour. Make sure you get the flour lumps out. Carefully pour the hot chicken and chicken broth into the blended milk and flour mixture and stir. Heat on low until warm throughout (it will be warm almost instantly due to the boiling chicken broth).

Serve over biscuits with a side of corn. Add salt and pepper to taste. Try out this healthy summer sherbet recipe — it’s perfect for a tasty dessert and gives you some of your daily servings of fruit, too.

This home-cooked meal is so good. It takes only a few ingredients and it’s budget-friendly, too. I love my grandma’s creamed chicken and biscuits recipe! Hope you enjoy it!
