Graco has released a recall on 1.9 million infant car seat harnesses due to difficulty to open the buckle. Earlier this year a similar recall was issued and this is an expansion of that original recall.

The latest recall follows a National Highway and Safety Administration investigation into the buckles that are on car seats manufactured from July 2010 to May 2013.

The models impacted in both recalls include SnugRide Classic Connect, SnugRide Class Connect 30, SnugRide Classic Connect 35, SnugRide Click Connect 40 and Aprica 30. To check manufacture dates and do a search on your model, head to Graco’s recall site.

So far there have been no injuries reported and leading up to the replacement, Graco is assuring families that the buckles are safe for use.

In recent weeks, Consumer Reports’ has announced that one of Graco’s strollers also poses a safety risk.

Do you use Graco car seats and products? Are any of yours on the recall list?
